Kenya (Nairobi/Mombasa), Africa - March 2007

As promised, I returned to Kenya with a larger team than I brought on my previous two trips.  On this trip, I was accompanied by Randy Adolfo, Jeremiah Cullett, Rob Goodwin and my brother-in-law Pastor Kedar Hunt.  The number of us going to Africa has steadily increased with each trip.

We were greeted at Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi by many members of the GILGOM crusade team as well as Apostle Hudson Isabwa of Vihiga.  It was good to see Pastor Jeremiah Bismark Odour, Pastor Tom Otieno Abungu and many others of the team.  We were warmly greeted and this was especially appreciated after two very long airplane flights.

We arrived on Friday and after an evening of coffee and a night of rest, we awoke early on Saturday morning and took a bus to Mombasa.  This was a long, grueling bus ride.  We did see a lot of Kenya.

Mombasa is a very beautiful place.  Mombasa is a very hot and humid place.  We ministered at various churches including the church of Pastor Christopher Samba Ogai.  We also took in a brief tour of Fort Jesus and visited a game park where we hand-fed giraffes.

For a couple of evenings, we were able to relax at the Whitesands resort for a cup of coffee and witnessed a breathtaking moonrise over the Indian Ocean as a gentle ocean breeze blew through the many cocoanut trees.

We made our way back to Nairobi where we began preparing for the crusade meetings at Babadogo Park.  We had a very good turn-out and saw the crowd build up to an estimated 50,000 people by the third night.  The power of the Holy Spirit was present and once again, we saw many set free from demonic bondage.  Many responded to the invitation to accept Jesus as Savior.  It was a glorious time.

We were, as always, treated to very good African music.  There were several accomplished musicians who sang and danced at the crusade meetings.  Also, Rob Goodwin and Jeremiah Cullett performed several songs.

It seems that with each trip, our ministry in Africa grows ever larger.  Doors are opening everywhere in Africa for Oasis.  Indeed, the opportunities appear to be unending. Kenya is a wonderful and fascinating place.  It is really hard to put into words.  I will always love Kenya and I will always love Africa.  Mungu Abariki Africa.  Sita Sahau Kenya.
