Kenya / Uganda, Africa 2005

Pst Hudson and and Pst Steve
Our return to Africa proved to be every bit as fulfilling as our first trip. It was so exciting to set foot in Africa again! There is something about Africa that is hard to communicate in words. Whether it’s the beauty of the sunsets over Lake Victoria, or the sounds of the many birds at sunrise in Urimba, a fisherman singing while fishing late at night on Lake Victoria, or the mighty rushing current of the Nile River at Jinja, or catching a taxi in Kampala, or having a cup of coffee in downtown Nairobi, it’s simply too big and too diverse to describe with words. Africa is something you have to feel and live in order to truly understand. You have to be there.

On this trip, Rob Goodwin who traveled with me to Africa in ‘03, as well as my brother-in-law, Kedar Hunt who was making his first trip to Africa, accompanied me. We flew from London to Entebbe and were met there by Pastors Hudson Isabwa and David Byangu. Being very tired from the grueling plane rides, we made our way down the red dirt roads of Uganda to a suburb of Kampala called Seeta.

In Seeta, we preached and sang and had a wonderful time with the believers there. We were warmly received by all. We were on a tight schedule and therefore unable to stay as long as we would have liked. But, the time we were there was well spent and the

Holy Spirit moved powerfully in the meetings. Rob began teaching praise and worship seminars, as he would at each location, and these sessions quickly became very popular among the Africans. Many in Seeta were touched by the Word of God. To Him be the glory. Amen.

From Seeta, we traveled on to Iganga. There we preached at Iganga Miracle Centre Church. This group of believers was especially vocal in their expression of praise and worship unto the Lord. There was much freedom in this church to p reach and teach the Word of God. We were very warmly received. The spirit of the Lord was present in these particular meetings to deliver those who were in bondage to witchcraft.

From Iganga, we traveled down to and across the border into Kenya. Upon arriving in Mbale, we were warmly greeted by Pastor Hudson’s family and friends. We stayed in a hotel called The New Mbale Hotel. The rates were very reasonable and the food is good. Plus, they serve Stoney which is a ginger flavored soda that will “clean out your sinuses” like no other.

in Mbale, Kenya
It was so very good to visit with Pastor Isabwa and minister at Life Changing Church of Mbale. For several days we had a wonderful time singing praise and worship and seeing the power of God move in the hearts and lives of the people. Also, we preached at the church of Pastor Patrick Randa, Mbale Worship Center.

While in Mbale, Pastor Jeremiah and Pam Odour drove up from Nairobi to join us in ministry. Pastor Jeremiah preached a powerful message at an outdoor crusade. And, Pam ministered in the word of knowledge. From Mbale, we traveled on to Nairobi. It was good to see Nairobi again.

After a couple of days rest in Nairobi, we began nightly crusades in a suburb called Babadogo. Each night, for three nights in a row, thousands came out to hear the Word of God. These meetings were powerful. The only way to describe these meetings is “The Power of The Holy Spirit”.

The music, the dancing, the crowds, the smoke, the dust, the evening breeze, it was so very powerful. Again, the Holy Spirit was present in a mighty way to minister deliverance. There were many deliverances that occurred in dramatic fashion. Glory to God – Utukufu Kwa Mungu! Amen.
